Thanks. I actually got that photo from the NYC Parks page detailing the history of pools in the city.

The page includes a photo of a floating barge pool--much like 2007's Floating Pool Lady--but floating barge pools in NYC date back to the 1870s!

I'm glad such good ideas continue to resurface every few generations. And Dumpster Diver Pools could not have picked a better/sweatier summer to return than 2010.

What an awesome shot of the "Swimmobile"! That is classic, and it's funny how similar the two photos look.

Thanks for sharing that old photo and info!

If the Yankees sucked and the Mets were the toast of the town the poll would be completely flipped. Remember the 80's?

You can prove anything with a poll.
And Bud Selig and his minions don't care about baseball, they care about making money.

Now THAT IS what I call an insightful thought on this subject. What I would advise perhaps is talking to other people actively involved in the scene and bring to day any conflicting points of view and then update or create a new article for us to stew over. I hope you'll take my ideas, I'm looking forward to it! Try to cover off on some graffiti characters as well if you can, they're everywhere at the moment.
